Tim Horton DCFC EV Charging Stations

Tim Hortons DC Fast Charging Hub

The Tim Hortons DCFC Project is a forward-thinking initiative aimed at enhancing the site's energy infrastructure and sustainability. By installing four DCFC stations, securing over $500,000 in incentives, and integrating a BESS for backup power, the project will significantly enhance energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and promote sustainable transportation.

The Tim Hortons DCFC Project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing the site's energy infrastructure and sustainability. This project includes several key components:

  1. DCFC EV Chargers:

    • Description: Installation of four Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) stations to support electric vehicle charging. These stations will provide fast and efficient charging options for EV users, promoting sustainable transportation.

  2. Grants Secured:

    • Description: Over $500,000 in incentives and grants have been secured from ACE Utility Exelon and the New Jersey State Program. These funds will support the installation and operation of the DCFC stations, making the project cost-effective and sustainable.

  3. BESS (Battery Energy Storage System):

    • Description: Integration of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to provide backup power and enhance grid reliability. The BESS will store excess energy generated by the DCFC stations and can be used during peak demand periods or outages.

  4. Project DCFC EV Charging Hub:

    • Description: Creation of a dedicated DCFC EV charging hub, equipped with advanced charging technology and BESS backup. This hub will serve as a central location for EV charging, providing convenience and reliability for users.
